ABOUT
Brigitte Marlot is french born and has studied photography and design at the Fine Art school of Calais and at the Art and Design school of Lyon.
She has worked as a textile designer and a part time photographer’s assistant in France and in London and is now based in Sydney, Australia,
She sees photography as a mean to better understand the world around her.
The inspiration for the work you find on this website has come mostly from the older parts of the city of Sydney she goes on exploring with her camera, and from the ocean and her local beach, where she volunteers as a Life Saver.
A recent trip to the Tropics has brought on fresh inspiration and a departure from her previous work. There she worked on a new series where she is experimenting with diverse medias to convey the lushness, heat and emotions of that unique place.
